Nathaniel Frank

Senior Research Consultant

Nathaniel Frank is Senior Research Consultant at the Center. He first broke the story of the Army's firing of Arabic-language specialists under the ‘don't ask don't tell’ policy. He has been interviewed for national television and radio programs to discuss the topic of marriage and military service rights for gays and lesbians. Dr. Frank's writing has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, The New Republic, the Los Angeles Times, thePhiladelphia Inquirer, the San Francisco Chronicle, Lingua Franca, and other publications. Dr. Frank received his Ph.D. in History from Brown University in the spring of 2002. Before that he earned his Masters also from Brown and his Bachelors from Northwestern University in History and American Culture.
